Here’s a roundup of few things that have caught my eye over the last couple weeks.
#Retailchat – A fortnightly retail industry related twitter chat. All you need to join in is a twitter account with the hashtah. Next chat 16th May at 8pm.
#WeWillGather – a brilliant platform championed by Dan Thompson, Lloyd Davis and Sophie Collard where the simple web lets you start an action in your community, and find people to help complete that, it’s powered by Twitter.
Futuristic Trash Can Gives A Call When It’s Full – As previous blog posts may indicate, I’m a fan of good trash related projects, and this is a great find from the folks at popupcity. The so-called Big Belly is a high-tech solar-powered trash can that automatically compacts trash and recycables, and sends city cleaners a notification when it’s full.
New pop up space in Birmingham – The folks at We Are Pop Up are now advertising popup space at the Bloc Hotel in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.
Birmingham Made Me – Great intro piece by Patrick Willcocks on the sheer number of absolutely brilliant things promised at this year’s Birmingham Made Me, Birmingham’s second Design Expo.
#iclcity2013 – My round up of tweets from the excellent #iclcity2013 conference held on Monday 13th May – lots of great speakers and insight on innovation, creativity and business.
