What
The programming and management of a major strategic strand called EDC (Enterprise, Debate & Connect) for Frequency 2011, a new digital culture festival for the city of Lincoln.
The strand looked at future business and enterprise, encouraged open debate and looked to cement legacy for the festival in the context of the Creative and Digital industries in Lincolnshire.
How
Producing, marketing and curating a series of events including:
- a conference inviting senior decision makers alongside from across the East Midlands’ creative and cultural sectors to debate and consider priorities for Lincolnshire’s creative and digital future with keynote speakers including creative economy thinker, strategist and commentator, Tom Fleming, and Alastair Upton, former CEO of the Bluecoat, Liverpool.
- Lincoln’s first #jelly – an informal co-working event where freelancers, home workers and small/micro business owners bring their laptop or other work and work, chat and collaborate with other small business owners;
Result
- The development of networks and opportunities for future creative and cultural collaboration across Lincolnshire
- The start of a long-term dialogue to ensure the Frequency festival’s legacy as an important and key arts festival for Lincolnshire.
