Approach
An evaluation of First Light’s programmes (2011-2012) (with Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy) demonstrated First Light’s position as a major provider/advocate for quality filmmaking training/development for young people.
Evaluating the organisation’s first 10 years of operation, the evaluation provided evidence of the beneficial outcomes of First Light’s work with young people nationwide and considered future strategic directions strengthening its position within the informal media training sector.
Impact
In particular, the evaluation of the First Light in the Classroom programme provided a case for future commercial viability of First Light’s expertise.
Many of the First Light programme have since become senior team members for the excellent Into Film programme.
