A Colourful Crowd Blog: Jewellery Masterclass (December 2012)

New Art Gallery Walsall‘s new young people’s group A Colourful Crowd went on a two part Jewellery Masterclass at Birmingham School of Jewellery on December 5th and December 12th.

Very much inspired by Damien Hirst’s work, the group were keen to gets hands on and learn about jewellery making.

One of the group’s participants, Kathy Mills, a student from Walsall College, has written a guest blog about her experiences of the first workshop.

As you can see from her blog, all of our young people were introduced a small taster of the huge variety of tools and techniques involved in jewellery making.
