We’re delighted return to Coventry for a Code Club meetup at the fantastic Urban Coffee emporium in Fargo Village.
These events are our way of saying thank you to our existing hosts and volunteers and hello to those of you who are new to Code Club.
Over 20 venues including schools and libraries have started Code Clubs in the Coventry area. Many more clubs are seeking great volunteers from the Coventry area to get started
This is your opportunity to:
– meet the people involved in the other clubs so we can share resources and help each other.
– find out what it’s like to run a Code Club, or what other Code Clubs have been doing.
Oh, and there will be glorious complimentary coffee and cake for you too all to devour as well.
As well as the latest Code Club news, the evening will include chance to tinker with BBC micro:bits and try out the new Code Club micro:bit projects as well as dabble in other bits of tech too.
If you’ve got an idea for a short talk (either one you’d like to do or something you’d like to hear about), then please contact Tim at westmidlands@codeclub.org.uk or tweet me@codeclubwmids.
Our volunteers go to their local club for an hour a week and teach one project a week. Many of the projects use Scratch, for example.
What are my transport options getting to the event?
Coventry has excellent public transport options. Urban Coffee Company is about 1-2 minutes away from stops serving buses to and from the city centre. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the City Centre and about a 20 minute walk from Coventry Train Station.
If you are coming by car, there is plentiful street parking within a five minute radius of Fargo Village.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
